Variable interest tables
FinKit uses variable interest tables to calculate simple interest between dates.
By default, variable interest tables are stored in the FinKit Tables folder inside the user's Documents folder.
Depending on whether you have write privileges, the FinKit Tables folder can also be stored in the user's Application Support folder or in the FinKit folder.
The desired location of the FinKit Tables folder can be set in the General tab of the Preferences dialog.
When FinKit starts up it looks for tables in the FinKit Tables folder. If it can't locate the folder, it creates a new FinKit Tables folder containing an empty default table.
To work with table files or to edit single tables, choose the Variable Interest Tables command in the File menu and open the Variable Interest Tables window.
