Precision preferences
To edit the FinKit precision preferences choose Preferences in the FinKit menu and open the Preferences dialog.
Then click the Precision tab.
Precision settings
| • | Select the Minimum number of significant digits option to ensure that at least the specified number of significant digits is displayed. |
| • | Select the Greater precision for input option to be able to override the rounding set in the Rounding tab for results by entering input values with greater precision. |
| • | Select the Keep precision from input options to override the rounding set in the Rounding tab when switching calculations and when converting between currencies. |
Precision tryout samples
Lets you try out different roundings and input values to see how precision settings affect different results.
Columns corresponding to inactive options are dimmed. The rightmost column always shows the results displayed by FinKit according to the current precision settings.
