Currency menu

The Currency menu lets you select the currency that FinKit uses to display calculation results and open the Currencies window where you can edit them.

Edit Currencies...

Opens the Currencies window and lets you view the available currencies, add or remove currencies to the Currency menu, add a currency symbol, update Euro exchange rates online or manually and set the rounding to be used when displaying conversion and calculation results.

When switching from the Euro or any of the 12 Economic and Monetary Union currencies to another EMU currency, FinKit automatically converts the amounts on the basis of the irrevocable Euro conversion rates fixed by the European Council.

When switching between other currencies, amounts are automatically converted using the Euro exchange rates set in the Currencies window.

Special currencies

To use FinKit as a currency independent application, select None in the Currency menu.

In case your currency isn't listed among the 182 currencies that FinKit provides, use the Custom currency and set its symbol, Euro exchange rate and rounding to the appropriate values.
