Panes

FinFlow uses a tabbed interface to let you set up and edit cash flows, view amortization schedules and details, and graph values for a range of rates or over time.

Summary pane

The Summary pane provides an overview of the events that are used to set up a cash flow.

To sort summary events by ID, date, description, amount or info or creation order click the column header of the column that you want to sort.

Details pane

The Details pane provides a detailed breakdown of a cash flow's properties such as the day count method that's used, rate information, date information and the different types of events that are used in the document.

Graphs pane

The Graphs pane lets you display an interest rate variation graph and a cumulative NPV and NFV graph.

To quickly determine a cash flow's net present value or net future valuefor a range of interest rates and a number of steps, select rate graph from the graph pop-up menu.

The rate graph is used to either quickly see how different rates affect a cash flow's net present value, or, in the case of multiple sign changes, determine at what rates the net present value equals zero.

To see how a cash flow's net present value or net future value changes over the lifetime of a project, select time graph from the graph pop-up menu.

To toggle between an NPV or NFV graph, click the graph header.
